Motivation: Parents are asked to make decisions when they are already under tremendous stress with additional lack of explanation of medical decisions and lack of respect for family input.Shared Decision Making: For parents to efficiently make decisions, they need to understand all information related to the decision making.

Family Centered Care and CDS: The aim of this project was primarily to characterize the intersection points between CDS and FCC in PICU.
Our second objective was to develop a mock system that incorporates the knowledge gained through this extensive literature research to serve as a template on which to build our prototype FCC-CDS application.
